What makes a listing useful
Every event needs enough detail for someone to decide whether they can attend. The clearer the location and timing, the more useful the listing is for local search.
Before you share an event
- Use the event’s official name and confirm that it is spelled correctly.
- Include a date, time, venue or address, city, and state.
- Use a current flyer or event image that represents this specific event.
- For a paid listing with the add-on, have the official ticket, registration, or RSVP link ready.
- Send corrections when plans change, are postponed, or are cancelled.
Questions organizers ask
What event details should I provide?
Provide the event name, date and start time, venue or street address, city and state, a clear description, and a current flyer. Add a ticket or RSVP link only if you select that paid add-on.
How do free community listings work?
Choose the genuinely free community-event option in the form. Qualifying nonprofit, charity, and community events are reviewed before they are listed. Free listings do not include a ticket or RSVP link.
Can I correct an event listing?
Yes. Contact Drop the Lo with the listing name, date, city, and the corrected details so the event information can be reviewed.
Who can share an event?
Promoters, venues, artists, organizers, community groups, and businesses can share events that have a specific date and location.
